About Us
Our Mission
ACCESS FAVOR is dedicated to promoting recovery by recognizing substance use disorder as a chronic, treatable health condition rather than a moral failing. Through compassionate support, education, harm reduction, and advocacy, we empower individuals, families, and communities to heal and move forward. We work to remove shame and stigma, honor all pathways to recovery, and strengthen the health, hope, and well-being of the communities we serve.
Our Vision
ACCESS FAVOR envisions a future where substance use disorder is universally recognized as a medical condition, recovery is embraced as a natural part of health and wellness, and every person feels valued, supported, and free from judgment. In this community, compassion replaces stigma, connection replaces isolation, and every individual has the opportunity to heal, achieve their purpose, and thrive.
Our Foundation & Our Future
Established as a nonprofit in 2015, ACCESS FAVOR was founded by Dr. Victor Archambeau, affectionately known as “Doc,” a respected community physician and a person thriving in long-term recovery. Motivated by a commitment to expand understanding of addiction as a medical condition, he championed the power of lived experience, laying the foundation for a peer-driven recovery movement grounded in dignity, authenticity, and empowerment.
Building on this foundation, ACCESS FAVOR has evolved into a peer-centered Recovery Community Organization delivering evidence-based services that promote health, reduce harm, and support recovery. Through education, advocacy, and strong community partnerships, we walk alongside individuals and families as they pursue stability, purpose, and renewed hope, serving communities across the region while remaining rooted in the values that shaped our beginning.
